Welcome To The Fil Harmonic of Jules Guertin

What is the Fil Harmonic ?

The Fil Harmonic was founded by Jules Guertin in the 2007s. He produced his first albums in 2009 at the Mirabel Studio in Mirabel, Quebec, Canada. Mirabel Studio is a virtual recording studio using Apple's Logic Pro and equipped with the best sampling software in the world. The musical evolution of Jules Guertin, as a composer, producer and musician, is similar to the evolution of the virtual music industry. It started at the same time as Tunecore music, closely following Ableton Live and Native Instruments. Indeed, Jules Guertin, a former avionics technician, tirelessly followed the evolution of personal computers. From the Commodore 64 to the MacBook Pro M2, he followed the computer and virtual music market, thus evolving with the market.

Initially, in order to protect his copyright, shortly before Jules contacted Tunecore, he distributed his music free of charge to a list of individuals who closely followed his musical evolution. Another group literally copied the name "FilHarmonic", but, uses the two words glued together to avoid copyright (my copyright), although they also produce computer music. After 19 years of constant efforts, 57 musical productions, nearly 20 years of musical software study, and regular updates and a considerable investment, allows us to offer you today the harmonies of the Fil Harmonic. The Fil Harmonic offers more than ordinary music; it combines an absolute and relative ear with spiritual inspiration and harmony. Jules Guertin has launched a new site for this anniversary to help those looking to start musically and spiritually. Because one does not go without the other.

The musical ear is the ability to perceive, recognize and reproduce sounds and musicality. It encompasses several skills, such as singing fair, identifying a false note or recognizing notes without reference (absolute ear), and understanding the intervals between them (relative ear). This ability develops with attentive listening, learning music theory and training exercises.

    •    Understanding the musical ear

    •    The musical ear is a faculty that allows:

    •    Perceive: the different elements of a music (melody, harmony, rhythm).

    •    Analyze: these elements to understand the composition.

    •    Reproduce: with precision sounds or melodies.

    •    Types of musical ears

    •    There are two main types of musical ear:

    •    Absolute ear : a rare and innate ability to name a note without external reference.

    •    Relative ear : the ability to recognize the relationships (intervals) between the notes from a reference note.

    •    How to develop your musical ear

    •    The musical ear, especially relative, can be improved by practice:

    •    Listen carefully: different styles of music and focus on melodies and harmonies.

    •    Study music theory: (ranges, chords) to better understand musical structures.

    •    Do exercises: to recognize the notes and reproduce them on an instrument.

    •    Use applications: or software dedicated to training the musical ear.

Jules has both types of musical ear, absolute and relative. From an early age, he sang for himself while working, when he was alone. Was he really singing to himself? No, of course, he sang for God, his father in whom he always had faith. It was only much later, today (in the last nineteen years), that he became aware of his musical relationship with God. When he retired, he devoted all his time to mastering Apple's Logic Pro. He has constantly invested in high-quality virtual instruments. All the instruments of the Fil Harmonic (his orchestra) are virtual instruments offering musical reproduction of the highest quality. The sampling is carried out from the best instruments in the world, recorded in the best studios in the world by the best sound experts. Despite all this, Jules plays EWI and Electronic keyboard at his best when he is under the influence of the angel.

Who is really playing in Jules ?

The Apostle Paul says that faith comes from hearing. There is a secret relationship between the arcana of Heaven and acoustic fluids, between the auditory sense and the sense of the divine. Music, in its effort to express the inexpressible, gives us the same teaching. But let us not be carried away in the fascinating labyrinth of the mystical sciences.

Some people, in search of the Absolute, find science insufficient, religion too cautious, esotericism too complex. They sense the existence of a science of sciences, a religion of religions, an initiation of which secret societies transmit only altered fragments. There is a method of knowing by which knowledge is immediate, a religion without rites by which the human being connects directly to the Divine, an initiation inaccessible, but freely transmissible, which gives us the supreme power: to be heard by God.

The Fil Harmonic is not ordinary or popular music, which has programmed your life’s beat. It is the music that puts you at rest, puts you in receiver mode and opens doors for a true spiritual experience.
